A new report from the TUC has claimed that less than one in three women are given protective clothing specifically designed for women.

The European Parliament has approved the European Commission’s proposal for two new Regulations on medical devices that aim to ensure better protection of public health and patient safety.

There has been a substantial increase in the largest fines for health and safety incidents in the UK, with some of the biggest brands in business having to pay millions of pounds for failing to control serious risks to employees and the public.

The latest figures available from the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) show that in 2014/15, 76,054 non-fatal injuries to employees were reported, and tragically a further 142 workers were killed during the course of their work.
